CHIEF CLERK: TOURISM

Performing activities / tasks associated with tourism information and administrative support service to the Tourism Division and museum committee and comply with the Council’s Tourism Policy to promote tourism development and marketing within the Swartland Municipal area.

ACCOUNTANT PRE-PAID VENDING AND REPORTING

Lead, control and direct the services of the online sales of prepaid electricity and sundries, through the design, development and alignment of policies, procedures and processes associated with specific administrative and accounting activities related to these transactions. Delivering professional revenue billing, reporting, control and financial analysis of all services within the department. Coordinate and overseeing the application of internal control procedures for revenue transactions and processes within the financial system. Key responsibilities involve verifying, reporting, and reconciling accounts receivable transactions to support control accounts. Ensure operational effectiveness, efficiency, reliable financial reporting, and compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and policies, in accordance with established key-management oversight responsibility. Provide strategic advice and support to management in respect of the section, accomplishing strategic goals and assist to achieve key performance areas and service delivery objectives

Manages the Section Valuations effectively and ensure that market value property valuations are carried out within the legal boundaries of the Municipality of Swartland as prescribed by the Municipal Property Rates Act (Act 6 of 2004) and Property Tax Policy of Swartland Municipality inclusive of the maintenance of appropriate valuation records that will provide a satisfactory valuation service to both internal and external clients and ensure that Council can raise correct property rates.

TRAFFIC OFFICER/ LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Performs activities/tasks associated with the provision of a traffic and community policing service by monitoring and attending to situations associated with minimizing traffic congestions or offences committed causing inconvenience and risk to public safety. Enforcing compliance and supporting emergency and rescue personnel during major disasters in order to ensure any risk to public safety or contravention to traffic regulations and specific traffic bylaws identified and corrective/compliance measures enforced on offenders.

EXAMINER OF DRIVING LICENSES: GRADE A

Rendering tasks/ activities associated with the testing and issuing of learners and driving licenses through the application of the National Road Traffic Act. Attending to administrative reporting and record keeping requirements, to ensure that drivers conform with the requirements of the Road Traffic Act and regulations contributing to the safety of all road users.

PROCESS CONTROLLER CLASS II: WWTW

Responsible to provide a class II process controller service at a Class B waste water treatment works, to render a manual labourer service, to attend to sewerage blockages and to operate small plant in order for the services division to perform its job function.

ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT: WWTW CLASS IV
